Oando's GasLink to invest $23m

Oando, Nigeria's biggest marketer of petroleum products, said yesterday its GasLink Nigeria unit would spend $23 million (R140 million) on the third phase of a project to expand a gas pipeline in Lagos state.

The project would deliver 50 976m3 of natural gas a day when completed, the Lagos-based company said in a statement. It did not say how much the whole project would cost.

Oando, which explores for oil, sells crude and runs about 500 filling stations in west Africa, is listed on the JSE. - Bloomberg, Johannesburg
