WATCH: Two Cape Town hotels win TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice awards

DURBAN - TripAdvisor's Travellers' Choice Awards has recognised two hotels in Cape Town on their list of the Top 25 Value for Money Hotels in the World.

The Travellers Choice Awards are based on the reviews and opinions of people that have visited these hotels. Hotels reviews are based on service, quality and customer satisfaction.

Out of 25 hotels in the world, the Derwent House Boutique Hotel was ranked at number 18 and the Blackheath Lodge was ranked at number 20. Both of these hotels are based in Cape Town. Let's take a closer look at them.

Derwent House Boutique Hotel

Based in the Tamboersklof/Gardens, this hotel is on the foothills of Table Mountain. Restaurants and nightlife are a walking distance from the hotel and tourist attractions like Table Mountain and Lion's Head are easily accessible from the hotel.

Some of the reviews on TripAdvisor called the hotel the best hotel that they have stayed at for years and another reviewer called the hotel a home away from home and a great place to stay.

Blackheath Lodge

This hotel is based in Three Anchor Bay, Cape Town. Blackheath Lodge is close to beaches like Camps Bay and Clifton. Cape Town's hotspot V&A Waterfront is just 10 minutes away from the hotel.

There have been 1936 reviews of Blackheath Lodge. Reviewers called this hotel a quaint oasis and the best hotel experience of my life.
