ChemSpecPaint maker names Schreuder as chief

Paint manufacturer Chemical Specialities (ChemSpec) had appointed Baron Schreuder as chief executive with effect from January, the company said yesterday. Current chief executive Bruce Mackinnon will take up the role of chief operating officer and Jonathan Maehler, who was performing the dual role of financial director and chief operating officer, will from next year concentrate on the financial director’s role. ChemSpec chairman Ivan Clark said it was a great step forward for ChemSpec. Schreuder joins ChemSpec from Plascon Paints where he was managing director. ChemSpec also announced the appointment of William Waller, also from Plascon Paints, as head of industrial sales. – Staff reporter
