- There is no doubt Beyoncé ranks on top as one the most popular female artists, but now she has also topped the Forbes female artists list too.

Beyoncé has been named The World's Highest-Paid Women in Music 2017. 

Here is the countdown of the top 10 World's Highest-Paid Women in Music 2017. 

1. Beyoncé

Queen Bey has been ranked No. 1 pulling in an impressive $105 million pretax. The singer sixth solo album Lemonade was appreciated by both critics and fans. She also had a successful music tour. The Formation World Tour grossed a quarter of billion dollars.

2. Adele

Adele did beat Beyoncé for Album of the Year at the Grammys this year but Adele ranks at second place on this list. Adele earned $69 million which was boosted by the work that she does on the road. Adele is known to gross seven figures per stop on her first big tour since 2011. 

3. Taylor Swift

Swift's earnings are down from her peak during her 1989 tour. The release of her new album Reputation, which is already the best selling album of 2017, came after this list's scoring period but should boost her numbers next year. Swifts earnings are $44 million.

4. Celine Dion

Celine Dion restarted a lucrative residency in Las Vegas after the death of her husband. Dion is playing about 70 gigs each year at Caesar's Palace where she made $27 million pretax in 2016. 

5. Jennifer Lopez

Lopez has a new show called World of Dance on which she serves as judge and executive producer. Lopez also continues to perform and earns a six-figure fee for her residency in Las Vegas like Celine Dion. Her profitable endorsements with brands like L'Oreal also adds to her bottom line. Lopez made $38 million.

6. Dolly Parton

Parton is 71 years old but continues to tour earning mid-six figures per city across 63 states during the Forbes scoring period. Her income from her gigs and her Dollywood theme park she sits at No. 6 beating the likes of Rihanna and Katy Perry. Dolly Parton made $38 million.

7. Rihanna

Rihanna pulled in $36 million. The singer makes most of her money on the road filling up arenas across the world. She also showed her acting skills on the TV show Bates Motel. She makes millions working as the creative director for her Puma line and her lucrative deal with Samsung. The Barbados singer also launched her own cosmetics line called Fenty Beauty. 

8. Britney Spears

Spears has pulled in $34 million from her Las Vegas residency which brings in a six-figure nightly fee. She had a music tour called Piece of Me that is et to wrap up by the end of 2017. 

9. Katy Perry

Perry earned $33 million which can be attributed to her endorsement deals with brands like CoverGirl, Claire's and H&M. Her forthcoming gig on the American Idol reboot should pay her double-digit millions annually and she will cash in on a new tour. Perry also released a new album called Witness.

10. Barbra Streisand

Barbra Streisand made a cool $30 million. Streisand grossed $46 million on her 14 show gig last year. Streisand is the only act in history to have a No. 1 album in six consecutive decades. She also has Netflix special called Barbra: the Music...The Mem'ries... The Magic
