DURBAN - Time Magazine has released their 100 Most Influential People List for 2018 and these business icons were featured on this list. 

The business people on the list range from tech entrepreneurs to CEOs of multibillionaire enterprises. 

Bhavish Aggarwal

Bhavish Aggarwal is a co-founder of ride-sharing service Ola. The Indian entrepreneur founded Ola with Ankit Bhati and Mehul Bagaria in 2011. Ola is one of the biggest ride-sharing companies in the world and it is available in more than 100 Indian cities. Just this year Ola expanded to Australia and is available in cities like Sydney and Perth.

Whitney Wolfe Herd 

Whitney Wolfe Herd is American entrepreneur who is the currently the CEO and founder of Bumble, a social and dating app. Wolfe Herd is also co-founder of another dating called Tinder. She left Tinder in 2014 and filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against the company. She received a settlement worth more than $1 million (R12,02 million) as well as stock in the company.  In December 2014 she founded Bumble, a dating app that gives women more control than usual dating apps. Wolfe Herd has a net worth of $250 million (R3 billion) according to Money Inc.

Oprah Winfrey

Oprah Winfrey is an American businesswoman and media icon who first made her mark with her daytime talk show, The Oprah Winfrey Show. Winfrey from a high school job working for a radio station to being the Chairwoman and CEO of Harpo Productions and the Oprah Winfrey Network. She has a real-time net worth of $2,8 billion (R33,65 billion).

Jeff Bezos

Jeff Bezos is the founder and CEO of e-commerce and cloud computing company Amazon. When Bezos first started Amazon it was just an online bookstore now it a billion dollar company that sells things electronics, furniture and toys. He has a real-time net worth of $126,5 billion.

Satya Nadella

Satya Nadella is the Indian American CEO of Microsoft, an American multinational technology company. Nadella succeeded Steve Ballmer for the position in 2014. He was previously the Executive Vice-President of Microsoft's cloud enterprise group.

Elon Musk

Elon Musk is a Canadian American businessman, investor and engineer. Musk, who was born in South Africa, is the founder, CEO and lead designer of Space X as well as the co-founder, CEO and product architect for Tesla. Musk has a net worth of $19.2 billion (R230,78 billion).
