CAPE TOWN – Join Huawei at the ExCeL Centre in London now at 3pm for the global keynote presentation to see the launch of the new Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro.
The Mate 20 and Pro will serve as the successor to last year’s Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro.
Leaks suggest that the devices will have a triple camera setup on the rear.
These three cameras will reportedly include a 40-megapixel primary sensor, 20-megapixel secondary sensor, and an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor according to Gadgets 360.
However, leak images show that the cameras are set to be positioned differently in the Mate phone than the P20, with the three lenses and flash orientated in a square.
On Twitter, Huawei confirmed rumours about the design and set-up of the new phones. The camera's of the phones will be in a square formation.
It also rumoured that the Mate 20 Pro will be powered by a 4200 mAh battery and the normal Mate 20 will be 4000 mAh.
Other rumours suggest that the devices will come with a 40W fast charger.
Huawei has confirmed that 40W SuperCharge which the company says will allow the users to get a 70 percent battery in just 30 minutes.
The company has also confirmed that the devices will have an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
Another confirmation made at the event is that the devices are IP68 water and dust resistant meaning that they can withstand 30 minutes in two metres of water.
