CAPE TOWN – Microsoft has announced the release of Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18262, also known as 19H1.

First spotted and reported by Ars Technica, the new update will give users the ability to uninstall more of the apps that come built into Windows 10. 

"Hello Windows Insiders! Today, we are releasing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18262 (19H1) to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring and those who have opted in to Skip Ahead," said Windows in a blog post.

"In 19H1, we are adding the ability to uninstall pre-installed Windows 10 inbox apps via the context menu on the Start menu All Apps list."

Before, only a few apps could be removed such as Microsoft Solitaire Collection, My Office, OneNote, Print 3D, Skype, Tips, and Weather.

With the new preview build, the following built-in apps can be uninstalled:

  • 3D Viewer (Mixed Reality Viewer)
  • Calculator
  • Calendar
  • Groove Music
  • Mail
  • Movies & TV
  • Paint 3D
  • Snip & Sketch
  • Sticky Notes
  • Voice Recorder
