DURBAN - Snapchat will be launching a feature called friendship profiles that captures all the media that a user has shared with friends and groups in one location according to The Verge.
The friendship profiles which are only visible to you and your friend is a step that the social media company is taking to promote close friendships.

Snapchat will also be selling BItmoji merchandise that features the company's personalised avatars. Another feature that they have introduced is a comic strip that shows a user and their friends as Bitmoji in a cartoon that will appear in the Discover feed.
To access your friends profiles, tap on their Bitmoji. The profile has images, videos, messages and links that have been saved. According to Snap, the profile has been created to be a quick and simple way to find highlights from your friendships.
The feature is set to roll out worldwide in the forthcoming weeks.
Bitmoji Merch will take the avatars from you and your Snapchat friends and turn in them into shirts, mugs, shower curtains and phone cases. Bitmoji Merch can be accessed from the settings menu and it is only available on iOS.
The Bitmoji Stories will feature lighthearted tales of Snapchat users and their friends that will be Bitmoji team and personalised to include the users individual avatar.
