WATCH: Susannah Farr up for Global Citizen Award

CAPE TOWN - Poverty alleviation begins with you! This has seen Susannah Farr efforts of fighting poverty being recognised by the Global Citizen Awards 2017 in New York.

Farr has made it to the top four finalists, who were chosen according to innovation, global citizenship, impact and potential - all contributing towards ending poverty. She is the CEO of the gold Youth Development Agency, an organisation running a youth-gold programme.

Farr had a dream to see an entire generation know their full social and economic potential and translate this potential into reality. She has made this dream a reality for thousands through her tireless dedication to the development of the youth in Southern Africa.

The winner stands a chance of scooping away $100 000 award, which will be presented by The Waislitz Foundation and Global Citizen on the 8th of September. This is an annual event and the previous winners include: Clarisse Uwineza-2016, Twesigye Jackson Kaguri-2015 and Anoop Jain.
