Rochelle Humes has given birth to a daughter.
The Saturdays singer delivered her and husband Marvin Humes' first child early this morning (20.05.13) and the proud dad has revealed the couple are “overjoyed” with their new arrival, who they have named Alaia-Mai Humes.
Marvin wrote on Twitter: “This morning we welcomed our baby girl Alaia-Mai Humes. Mum is doing great & baby is amazing! We are both overjoyed! Thanks for your love x (sic)”
Congratulatory messages have begun pouring in from the pop star couple's famous pals, including Rochelle's Saturdays bandmate Una Healy, who also has a baby daughter, 14-month-old Aoife Belle, with rugby star Ben Foden.
She tweeted: “Big love and congratulations to @RochelleTheSats and @MarvinHumes on the birth of their baby daughter Alaia-Mai So excited to meet her!! X (sic)”
Marvin's JLS bandmate Oritse Williams tweeted: “WOW the 1st baby of JLS. Congrats @MarvinHumes & @RochelleTheSats . Alaia-Mai Welcome to the big beautiful World! Love Uncle Reesh x (sic)”
Rochelle, 24, wed the 28-year-old 'Beat Again' singer in July 2012 and announced her pregnancy in December on the social networking site.
She tweeted at the time: “I wanted to be the first to tell you ... we have some exciting news to share! Marvin and I could NOT be more thrilled to announce that we are expecting our first child mid next year.
“We have always dreamt of being parents and the news is the best early Christmas present we could have asked for.
“I know Marvin is going to be a great dad and we're so excited to start a family. Thanks for all your support and lots of love, Rochelle x (sic)” - Bang Showbiz
