London - Male jurors are harsher on fat women when they see them in the dock and are more likely to find them guilty, a study has revealed.

Researchers have found that when faced with an obese female defendant, a man would convict her more often than if she were thin.

Men tended to perceive a woman who was overweight as lazy and of poor character, but they did not exhibit the same bias when an obese man appeared before them.
