Akhumzi Jezile's memorial service is set to take place at the Rhema Bible Church in Randburg, Johannesburg on Thursday. 

The local producer and presenter died in a car crash over the long weekend along with singer Siyasanga Kobese, actor Thobani Mselini and Urban Brew IT specialist Skhumbuzo Mbuthuma.

Police spokesperson Captain Namhla Mdleleni said the accident took place on the N6 in the Eastern Cape, between Jamestown and Queenstown. The group were on their way to a funeral. The occupants of the other vehicle were not injured and the police have opened a case of culpable homicide.

Many tributes from fans, colleagues and prominent figures poured in after the news broke of Jezile's death. 

Jezile is best known for being as YoTV presenter, who also went on to be a producer on the show. 

The spokesperson for the Jezile family Percy Vilakazi stated that they were devastated by the loss. 

 “He was the life of the party, love personified, and when someone like that is snatched away it leaves everyone with a great sense of sadness and emotional paralysis.”
