Johannesburg - Singer Judith Sephuma and her husband are mourning the death of their newborn.

The baby was born prematurely.

Sephuma’s husband Siphiwe Mhlambi’s Facebook post on Wednesday announced the death of their sixth child.

He wrote: “Born at only 32 weeks, my little angel’s life was short lived. Her beauty and magic will linger forever. Till we meet again my angel … Your mom and dad love you.” The message was accompanied by a picture of Mhlambi with the little girl.

Sephuma, who is a choirmaster on Mzansi Magic’s Clash of the Choirs, missed her performance at the Naledi Theatre Awards when she underwent surgery last week. She is also due to perform at The Playhouse Opera Theatre in Durban next week.

The City Press reports that the funeral will take place on Thursday morning in Johannesburg. - IOL
