“WHO’S Oscar Pistorius? What happened in the bedroom? What happened in the bathroom? Did she diss you ’bout your legs?”

These were just some of the questions posed by a hip hop artist who decided that outside the North Gauteng High Court In Pretoria would be the best spot to try to grab international attention.

Pistorius may not be back in court until the end of next month, but Lekau – yes, that’s his full name – took full advantage of the media contingent waiting outside the court building on Tuesday.

Clad in an advocate’s gown, a red hoodie and a cap, Lekau’s quick performance was missed by the athlete, who simply walked into the court while the artist was only just about to get into the meat of the song.

But much to the entertainment of those outside the court, the rapper – whose manager said he had been struggling to break into the hip hop scene – continued with his lyrics.

A stanza about a possible fight between Reeva Steenkamp and Pistorius that could have triggered the shooting prompted the most sideways glances.

“Was it an argument about his disability?… Did he really love her?”

The catchy chorus of the song was caught on camera by numerous international and local media houses, but who knows if this will help Lekau make it.
