South African comedian Trevor Noah has become synonymous with Hollywood celebrities since he became the face of the US late night talk show 'The Daily Show' in 2015.
So much, that it seems that some may even think that he's born and bred there, but not if Trevor has anything to say about it — and he does.
One tweep recently branded Trevor a "Hollywood elitist" when he called the talk show host out on Twitter for criticising US politicians, and the star's response was true to his roots.
He wrote: "I'm from Soweto not Hollywood."
Are you gonna watch the show so you can answer your own question?
And ps I'm from Soweto not Hollywood. 😄 https://t.co/mCKlYm0bpU

Watching the likes and retweets on this tweet like a money counter 😂😂

While others saw it as an opportunity to commend the Trevor's talent.

Mzansi, however, soon pulled rank after Trevor was propositioned for marriage so that he can secure US citizenship.
