Cassper Nyovest was dragged on Twitter streets after he declined to take a photo with a member of the LGBTIQ+ community.

According to a post shared on the social media platform, the fan in question requested a photograph with the "Gets Getsa 2.0" rapper, to which he allegedly replied "no homo".

"So I met @CassperNyovest the other day and after our encounter he said “no homo”. This is the guy who performed at gay pride. A hyper masculine statement to reaffirm his hetero status. After that he’s goons giggled- very humiliating (sic)," a user who goes by the name Madam Evodia wrote on Twitter.

Evodia's friend also slammed Nyovest for his alleged behaviour, adding that he has lost all respect for the rapper. He also pulled receipts on Nyovest's tweets from 2012, where he mocks Frank Ocean for featuring a male love interest in his music video.

You humiliated my Best friend @CassperNyovest infront of your squad just because he wanted to take a picture. That is really disdainful, I really lost respect for you and this tweet from 2012 just affirmed that you aren't for the LGBTI+ COMMUNITY. pic.twitter.com/Titr1EJSKG

When tweeps caught wind of the duo's tweets, Nyovest responded to the "Twitter buzz".

In the video shared on his Twitter page, Nyovest said that he is not homophobic, and has no problems with anyone. He also apologised for his 2012 tweet, saying that it was "distasteful".

Addressing the recent comments made on Twitter, Nyovest said that the fan was "very drunk" and that he jokingly used the derogative term when they posed for the picture. Nyovest claims he asked him to remove something from the shot that he "wanted in there".

Nyovest explained that was then that he jokingly said, "Hey, no homo". Nyovest apologised for offending his fan and reiterated that he is not homophobic.
