Despite requesting space to come to terms with the 'Idols SA' voters results, runner-up Mthokozisi Ndaba took the time to wish Paxton Fielies well and thank South Africa for their support.

In a one minute five second video, which was shared on his Instagram account on Sunday night, Mthokozisi said: "as much as I wanted to win, I am very happy for Paxton".

He added that he "thinks she deserved it (to win)" because they all worked hard and he is "behind her 100 percent".

Mthokozisi also took the opportunity promote of their new singles, thank 'Idols SA' and appeal to South Africa to continue supporting him and Paxton "because the journey continues".

According to M-Net's head of PR, Nondumiso Mabece, Mthokozisi has requested to be given time to come to terms with the result of the Idols show and will indicate when he is ready to speak to the media.

Mabece added that Mthokozisi is currently receiving assistance to deal with emotions involved in this situation.
