As the World Cup kicked off in Russia on Thursday, June 14, DSTV together with local stars Somizi Mhlongo, Nomzamo Mbatha, Kwesta and sport fanatic Mama Joy Chauke gave us some World Cup Opening game experience held at a secret location.

We were a bit anxious when we first arrived at the park and ride spot, we started relaxing as the shuttle drove through the Joburg suburbs, but boy oh boy, we were never ready for was awaiting us at the lavish mansion in Sandhurst.

Just a few weeks ago, sportscaster Minnie Dlamini aka Mrs Jones jetted off to Russian, World Cup 2018 host country, searching for four Russians to come experience the world Cup in South Africa.

Mrs Jones was successful in her quest to find willing Russians to spend a month in Mzansi.

Veronica, Dima, Tatiana and Slava were our hosts and they welcomed us in high spirits.

The four Russian Youth are hosted by choreographer and Metro FM personality Somizi Mhlongo, and he gave them South African names, Sbu, Thando, Mbali and Thabo.

Somgaga taught them the South Africa dance Vosho.

They blew vuvuzelas when Russia mopped the floor with Saudi Arabia during their first match.

As the festivities continued, we nestled in the patio, sipping on “champagne darling”, and dining to chef Lentswe Bhengu’s special treat.

For starters he served chicken feet and kentucky fried mogodu.

For mains we had samp, with chicken and mushrooms.
