Cape Town - Oh Schucks, it WAS Schuster at the Cape Town Comedy Club.

Comedian Siv Ngesi is use d to taking people for a fool, but this week he was caught by the master himself, Leon Schuster.

Owner of the Cape Town Comedy Club, Kurt Schoonraad, was in on the joke and helped Schuster set it up.

Siv says the prank was so elaborate that he didn’t even get a whiff of a set-up while doing his show on Monday night.

Siv says: “They sent me emails and said that a ‘Chinese businessman wants to meet you’ and I believed them.”

“The businessman was at the Cape Town Comedy Club [to come see the show] but they told me he doesn’t understand English so there was an interpreter on stage translating everything.”

Siv was so keen on impressing the rich businessman that he even agreed to a request to take off his pants.

“It was his request so I pulled down my pants and danced around on stage a little,” admits Siv.

At that stage that the Chinese man’s wife came running into the club, accused Siv of being offensive and demanded an apology for her husband.

Siv says he didn’t want to cause an international incident, “so I went down on my knees and kissed her feet”.

The game was up when the “Chinese businessman” also demanded a kiss, and Siv ran out of the club, to the howls of laughter.

And poor Siv won’t be able to live this one down – he will star in Schuster’s new movie, Pay Back the Money, which will be released in a few months.

After the joke, a relieved Kurt adds: “The filming for the movie wrapped, that was the last scene they shot, so Schuster can’t prank me.”
