London - The duchess of Cambridge, who is suffering from severe morning sickness, has been forced to cancel her attendance to the Invictus Games on Wednesday and Thursday, a royal spokesman said.
Kate, who is pregnant with her second child, had been due to attend the opening ceremony of the sporting event for disabled soldiers in London on Wednesday and the athletics events the following day.
Her planned visit to Malta later this month would “be kept under review and a decision taken closer to the time,” the spokesperson added.
The news that another royal baby is on its way was revealed on Monday, just two months after Kate and her husband Prince William celebrated the first birthday of their first child Prince George. - Sapa-dpa
