Johannesburg - He’s the self-proclaimed King of Sushi and he can swear like a sailor too. Kenny Kunene this week launched into a scathing Twitter attack on Democratic Alliance spokesperson Musi Maimane, calling him a “garden boy” and seemingly threatening his wife with gang-rape.

“I’m no role model 4glorified garden boy, who made u a judge. u f*%#en political cockroach. focus on f&%$ing ur wife b4 we do it 4u,” Kenny tweeted.

Kenny later tried to limit the damage by writing: “I threatened no one wit rape here,if u don't satisfy ur wife sexually we'll do it for u...some married women cheat with us for satisfaction”.

The ZAR nightclub owner was incensed by an article that appeared in a The Sunday World in which Maimane called on Kunene to be a more positive role model for the South African youth.

“If I were ever to meet Kenny, I would want him to realise the significance of his influence on young people,” wrote Maimane.

“The level of exposure he receives comes with responsibility. It's tragic that he would use his high profile to promote such destructive behaviour.”

Maimane’s article comes after Kunene appeared on SABC3 show 3Talk, hosted by Noeleen Maholwana-Sangqu, with five of his alleged 15 girlfriends, and boasted about his success with women.

“Life is too short to be taking girls out for dates and to restaurants” he said. “Mina I say it there and there, sometimes I don’t even propose. Women are easy.”

Kenny, however, topped that display in an interview with Phat Joe on Metro FM on Saturday, in which he confessed that he had committed statutory rape when he was employed as a teacher.

When asked whether his financial status made it easier for him to attract women, Kenny replied: “When I was a student, I had multiple girlfriends; and when I was a teacher I also had multiple girlfriends, so it is not of my current financial situation.”

Co-host Pearl Thusi then asked if Kenny had slept with his students as a teacher and he replied that he had. When Thusi then said “That’s statutory rape”, Kenny seemed to have no misgivings about agreeing with her. - IOL
