Pupils at Pretoria High School For Girls started protesting this morning against alleged racial discrimination at the school.

Pupils, specifically black girls, have reportedly been forced to straighten or 'flatten' their hair in order to look neat and “presentable”.

Amidst the protest at the school, former pupil of Mishka called in to John Robbie's 702 breakfast show and his response sparked accusations of racism.

Robbie has been trending throughout the day as Twitter users, including local celebrities, slammed him for his comments.

One user, Neo Koza, posted a podcast on Twitter for fellow users who may have missed the drama.
