South Africa’s premium flavoured beer, Flying Fish, the brand that doesn’t believe in ordinary, brewed in some serious play in the mother city recently by staging it's very first instalment of their #HouseOfPlay experiences.Held at a sea view facing mansion in Camps Bay, the cool kids showed up dressed to impress.
#HouseOfPlay, is a unique and completely different take on the typical house party. The brand is taking mundane and turning it on its head by introducing the most playful experience in Mzansi. The theme was All-White with a pop of colour...which is just perfect for partying poolside while sipping on delicious cocktails. Not everyone stuck to the theme, as expected, but fun was had nevertheless. Media, bloggers and cultural curators brought in the play and enjoyed the foam party, which included a giant pillow fight and sipped drinks from old washing machines turned into Flying Fish bars.
Twins on Decks kept the VIPs dancing until the sun dipped at sea. Since then, Flying Fish has hosted the #HouseOfPlay in Durban and next up is Johannesburg on Saturday, May 12.
Entertainment for the party also included Cape Town's best entertainers; Garth, Aux Gaud, Sir Vincent and Youngsta CPT added the most flavour with a thrilling set, while MC and rapper, Patty Monroe performed a medley of her freshest tunes.
“The #HouseOfPlay is all about brewing out the serious and brewing in the play into the daily lives of people. “To add some play to peoples’ Saturdays, we have partnered with South Africa’s top Dj’s who will host playful experiences that will encourage the masses to stop being so serious and add some play. We encourage people to play and embrace the fun things in life,” says Flying Fish Brand Manager Maisha Mamabolo.”
