'Avengers: Infinity War' is a not to be missed movie event. It truly is a war for the safety of the universe.

Rating 5/5

We catch up with our heroes after the events of both 'Thor: Ragnarok' and 'Black Panther' with Thanos (Josh Brolin) making his way to collect all of the Infinity Stones. That’s about as much as I can say without giving away any spoilers.

Also, ignore what the actors “spoiled” throughout the press tour because all their comments are misdirects, which was actually a smart move by the House of Mouse to keep things under wraps. And if you haven't watched any of the trailers or TV spots, don’t watch them because there are some spoilers in them.

Firstly, make sure you are emotionally ready for this film because the Russo brothers really take you on one huge emotional rollercoaster.

It's been a long time since one movie had me laughing, crying, feeling anxious, shouting at the screen in anger, feeling warm and fuzzy, then back to happy and ending with me feeling like I need a support group just to deal with everything that goes down in the film.

One of the brilliant things the Russo brothers, along with the screenwriters, are able to achieve in the film is keeping all the characters’ personalities and the way they interact intact.

Drax (Dave Bautista) is still very direct, Okoye (Danai Gurira) facial expressions are still everything, Rocket (Bradley Cooper) and his quips land so hard you laugh until your cheeks hurt and Shuri (Letitia Wright) makes Bruce (Mark Ruffalo) sound like a Grade 5 science teacher with one line.

Everyone shows up in this film, there is not a single weak performance to speak of. This is largely due to most of the actors playing these characters so long they are essentially a part of them by now.

The interaction between Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) is especially funny because when two A-type, egotistical and narcissistic personalities are in one room it’s just hysterical to witness.

Marvel really has set the bar so high that after DC executives watch this movie they’ll probably go in a corner and cry because this film is epic for so many reasons.

The fact that we’ve invested ten years, the fact that we have grown to love most of these characters and seeing all it all come together makes it all worth it.
