The number of public holiday parties don't have me more excited than rap artists fuelling Obamania. But at least there are a few that I wouldn't mind attending.
All of them are in the name of Heritage Day, mind you, and since this public holiday falls on Wednesday, September 24, it seems every promoter and their mammas have decided to throw a party the day before. So you can sleep in the next day, you see? What a lovely heritage we have!
If you still have no plans in this regard get down to Partyhouse - next to the Coca-Cola Dome - to see the likes of Koldproduk, 6Feet, Cutting Jade, Hikatori and others perform while the incomparable DJs Ready D and Redwood as well as Milkshake, Roger D'Lux, Erica Elle, Euphonik, Mo and plenty of others will do their thing on four stages.
The gig is hosted by UJFM 95.4 in association with Massive Music and Olmeca Tequila and starts at 7pm.
Tickets are R60 at the door.
