UK singer Charlotte Awbery, who recently went viral with a video of her singing “Shallow” in the London Tube was invited to sing on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show".

If you are having a tough Thursday, this may make you smile.

This story is a testament to the age-old adage that dreams can come true.

If you are one of the only people in the world who has not listened to Charlotte Awbery sing “Shallow” then you are in for a treat.

The pub and wedding singer was asked to finish the lyrics by a UK YouTuber Kevin Freshwater and to his surprise and ours, she was not only able to finish Lady Gaga's song "Shallow" but gave us a rendition that was so different and quite frankly so pure.

The singer went viral in a matter of days, with 60 million people watching the clip on social media.

Awbery was then asked to fly to the US and sing the song on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show". After belting out the ballad, she got a chance to meet Ellen.

Born in the UK, Awbery has been in the music industry for 15 years. She has mostly worked in pubs, bars, and weddings but something tells me that is all about to change.

In just over a few days her social media presence has grown in leaps and bounds.

She had just 4 000 followers on Instagram but now has over 500 000 followers and yes Ariana Grande is one of them.

When asked by Ellen what keeps her motivated she said that her father always said that she should never stop singing.

So when the Freshwater approached her in the London tube to sing the song she thought about her dad and just sang.
