Gigi Lamayne hosted a listening session for her EP, VI on Wednesday night. The rapper who recently signed to independent record label, Ambitiouz Entertainment, played and performed the six songs that will appear on the EP that will be released on 13 June.
She shared her spotlight with a rap group reminiscent of the Durbanites as well as a closing act who goes by the name of Mr All of It. The likes of Moozlie and YFM DJ, Zai Maya were in attendance and the event was hosted by DJ, Bang Bang Boogie.
Gigi thanked her mother and a host of other industry people for the support they had shown her throughout her career. She told a story about the advice that Kwesta gave her about longevity. Gigi also committed to putting more energy into her styling.
BET Award winner, Sjava, as well as Saudi, DJ Citilyts and Miss Pru came through to show some love to their fellow Ambitiouz signee. Another labelmate, Londie London was on hand to perform with Gigi. They performed her current single, Twinkle, and Gigi ended her showcase with a perfomance of Iphupho.
