The talented and super stylish Nandi Madida will be the host of a BET reality show that puts the spotlight on African fashion. Called Made in Africa, news that Madida is host and co-producer came out as early as March this year, with the show now finally set to begin next Wednesday.

The aim of the show is to showcase the best of emerging designers on the continent, while keeping an eye on the fashion revolution that the continent as a whole is going through.

The series is a partnership between BET in Africa, the KZN Film Commission and the Youth Directorate of the KZN Department of Economic Development; Tourism and Environmental Affairs.

On the first episode of Made In Africa we meet designers, Noloyisa Lubelwana and Towa Mungandi as the two go head-to-head in a competition against the clock, hoping to impress the judges in the Fashion-In-The-Wilderness challenge.

Speaking about the show Madida said: "The audience can expect a Pan African fashion reality show that celebrates the talent that we have across the continent. Witness the sweat and tears all in the name if finding Africa's next household fashion designer.

Shot in the beautiful background of Durban, this is more than just a TV show, it is truly a fashion showcase."

Made in Africa airs on BET (DStv channel 129) from Wednesday May 30 at 9pm and repeats from the June 4 at 4pm.
