Kwesta may not be going for the title of East Rand Mayor but the K1 Gawd is certainly doing a lot for his community. Just the other day he had a soccer tournament for the kids in Katlehong. And in a few months, his annual 3-Day Spring Break will take place at Germiston Lake in Johannesburg.

Every year, he has big name artists from various genres perfom during those three days. This includes his very own Raplyf Records labelmates, Kid X and TLT. But this year, he hopes to open up the event to new talent.

The artists and DJs are required to show and prove what they’ve got through uploading videos onto social media. Then Kwesta will select the 10 best from that batch. Following that, it will be up to the public to vote for who gets a shot at the spotlight.

Kwesta tweeted: “As promised... Emerging artists post your videos!!!!!!!!! On your own social media platform. Follow the steps below... we'll find you! DJs can also upload 15min set clips. I'll Shortlist the best 10 artists/DJs and the public will decide thereafter.”
