Those who loved Linda “ProKid” Mkhize will pay tribute to him at a memorial service on Thursday.

Taking place at the Newtown Music Factory in Johannesburg from 2pm, the memorial will give fans a chance to pay their last respects to the "Sekele" rapper.

The 37-year-old rapper passed away on 8 August after suffering a "severe seizure" while visiting friends.

This week, it was revealed that ProKid suffered from hemosuccus pancreaticus — bleeding in the pancreas, pancreatic duct or structures near the pancreas.

PRO was respected for eloquently breaking the mould of what was the norm in early naughties rap. He refused to be a carbon copy of American hip-hop and instead, embraced his kasi roots.
