The roster of performers for the Grammy Awards is filling up with the Recording Academy announcing on Tuesday that sensational young artist Lorde is joining the production, along with Katy Perry.

Classical Chinese pianist Lang Lang will also be on stage for a performance with rock supergroup Metallica, while Nile Rodgers of Chic will join with Pharrell Williams, Stevie Wonder and Daft Punk for another unique collaboration.

Also on the list of performers is a collaboration between country legends Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard, and young country star Blake Shelton. Kendrick Lamar is also on the show list, as is the band Imagine Dragons, while Pink will perform with Nate Ruess of Fun.

Veteran rapper Jay-Z tops the nominees for the Grammys with nine nods. Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Justin Timberlake and Pharrell Williams are in joint second place with seven nominations apiece.

The nominations were announced on December 6.

The show will be hosted by LL Cool J from Los Angeles' Staples Centre on January 26. - Sapa-dpa
