It definitely went down on Sunday at Sasani studios, as contestants fought to stay in the competition.

The Voice fans made sure the studio was full as usual and buzzing with excitement, and the piercing gaze of the media through the flashy red lights added to the suspense.

Lira didn't disappoint as she slayed in her stunning dress, complimented by African accessories.

Not to forget the stylish Kahn Morbee, who rocked a new look that prompted a fan - shouting from the audience - asking: “Kahn where is your beard?”

The huge amount of “talent” made the big venue feel tiny, as contestants battled through the semi-finals, which saw one of the favourites being eliminated from the competition.

Jono Johansen and Francis Bowers from #TeamLira were eliminated.

Despite the popular Jono's departure from the competition, he told us that he had been approached by about seven record labels.

He assures his supporters that he is busy working on “something big”, as we speak.

The 19-year-old Durbanite added that he is grateful to his fans for their support and promised them that there is much to look forward to.

“This is not the end, the is more to come,” he said.

Regarding the remaining contestants’ chances, he believes that Richard Stirton will win it, because of his “hard-working spirit” during the competition.
