In a very nerve-wracking announcement ceremony, the Top 10 of Idols Season 13 was crowned, leaving 6 contestants with their dreams in tatters.

From the first group that performed for votes two weeks back, the youngest of the pack, Paxton, was the first to occupy a chair in the Winners’ Circle.

It wasn't long before Phindy, Faith and Thokozile, who took the performance of the night title, joined the winner's circle.

That left Gugu Zulu, Lindo, Christo and Blessed at the mercy of the judges with their 2 wild card selections.

From group two, Proverb announced Mthokozisi and a very surprised and excited Botlhale to have made it to the top 10. Joining them to complete the top 8 selected by viewers were Thapelo and Tee, leaving Gabi, Hadassah, Basetsana and Minnie to join the other four in the waiting room.

The judges rounded off the Top 10 by saving Lindo and Christo.

As the longest standing Idols judge, Randall gave this advice to the remaining 10. “After 12 seasons, you can't forget just what an impact Idols has. Grab this opportunity with both hands and make it work for you!”

The night was not short of entertainment with both groups performing. Group one took to the stage to give their rendition of Bruno Mars’ That’s What I Like and group two with Black Box’s ever-green hit, Fantasy.
