The third annual Tshwane Finery Arts Festival is about to take place in the capital and this year promises to be bigger than ever. 

After hosting a successful edition of the festival last year, the TFAF 2017 will be taking place on Saturday 30 September and Sunday 1 October, at Kievits Kroon Country Estate in Pretoria. 

The TFAF promises to once again delight the senses with a range of talent with the best in local musicians, both known and up and coming. 

Theatre productions and contemporary art, a variety of the best food and deli products, wine tastings by a special selection of wine farms, roasteries for the coffee connoisseurs, and exciting craft distillery workshops. Nina Marais, co-founder of the festival, said that the festivals growth was exciting. 

“This festival is a celebrations of the arts in all its different forms, from acting to singing, the art of wine and coffee making, food and everything in between”, Marais said.

Tshwane’s official arts festival is also about making the arts accessible. 

“TFAF is a perfect balance between a lifestyle event and the arts. TFAF is a creative space within an exquisite setting, where audiences will get to enjoy performances by the likes of Majozi, Rubber Duc, Gerald Clark, Suzzi Swanapoel and many more artist that speak to different genres.

 There will be a number of theatre productions and contemporary art on display. TFAF is also a place where families and friends can connect, whilst enjoying delicious food from the Finery Eatery or enjoying the best in South African wine and craft drinks”, she added. 

She said that the festival is also about the fusion of cultures and diversity and this will be signified with a hot salsa party. 

“Salsa into the Sunset is put together by Estilo Cubana in collaboration with TFAF and it takes place on the Saturday evening of the festival. If you are a day festival goer your R120 ticket includes access to Salsa into the Sunset. If you only want to join the salsa party, tickets cost R100 and entrance start from 17:00”. 

* The Kids Funnery is the newest addition to TFAF and will have loads of cool activities for the kids to enjoy.
