It’s hard to ignore. Just the other day, there were news of Jill Scott’s messy pending divorce getting even messier. Word on the curb is her ex, Mike Dobson - whom she married in 2016, has all sorts of demands about what he should get in the divorce settlement.

He is allegedly hellbent on getting a shoehorn back from Jilly from Philly. Don’t laugh. This is, of course, in addition to money and other things. Anyway, while that is happening in Jill’s real life, she has signed on to star in a reboot of First Wives Club.

You will remember the original film starred Bette Midler, Diane Keating and Goldie Hawn as ex-wives who get their own back after their husbands used them as starter wives and then left them for newer, younger models of wives.

The reboot will be a 10-episode series where three women grapple with being first wives. Comedian, Michelle Buteau, stars alongside Jill and the third woman is yet to be confirmed. According to Jill’s instagram, she’s excited to have the gig.

Hello sugars!!! Siced to announce @michellebuteau and I have joined the cast of Tracy Oliver’s “The #FirstWivesClub,” coming to @ParamountNetwork. Yup Shawtie gotta gig.😁😁
