Big Brother’s Lexi posted a video that has raised the curiosity surrounding the return of the Mandla and Lexi’s reality show.
Following the success of the first season of their spin-off, Mandla and Lexie will return on Mzansi Magic on Wednesday, 13th July at 8pm.
There has been speculation for sometime now that the pair are engaged, despite the couple shooting down the rumour several times. Speaking to Sowetan last year, Van Niekerk revealed that she has proposed to Mandla twice, but he had turned her down both times. Now Van Niekerk points out that they have matured as a couple, so perhaps the wedding bells might ring this time around.
“Season 2 is going to be very different. It's all about family this time. Still about Mandla and Lexi, our relationship. Just showing viewers that we have grown up, we have matured and we are actually living the real life. We’re still go through sh*t like everyone else. I'm just hoping people will see that we have done a bit of growing up and we are more in love than ever,” said Van Niekerk when asked what viewers should expect.
The video includes a snippet of a scene where the couple are on a boat and Mandla asks Lexi to be his wife.
There are also glimpses of a ring and commentary that teases viewers with the question “will they make it down the aisle?”
