Just when you think Mzansi Magic’s, prison drama series, Lockdown can’t get any better than it already is, they go on and surprise us.
In a surprising development, international actress, Tichina Arnolds, who is famous for her roles in Martin, Everybody Hates Chris and Survivor’s Remorse, is currently on set, shooting with the rest of the Lockdown cast in South Africa for her upcoming appearance on the show.
“I’ll be playing Pauletta. She’s an American woman who is locked up in a South African prison for six months due to a diamond issue. I can’t give away too much, but I am looking for something and I am relentless in doing so to find it,” said Arnolds about her character.
“I am also not just playing Pauletta as that but I am perceiving and ensuring myself to be something that I’m not while I am there, looking for what I am looking for. I don’t know if they makes sense, but you’ll just have to watch to find out more,” she said.
Her character will be featured in nine episodes.
Lockdownseason 3 will be back on television screens on 9 July on Mzansi Magic (DStv 161).
