Christia Visser to act in SABC2 drama 'Onder die Suiderkruis'

A new SABC2 drama deals with a very human story of delicate relationships of love, envy, tension and care.

The Africkaans drama, Onder die Suiderkruis, is scheduled to start on June 12 at 7pm. And  features Cape Town actress, Christia Visser, better known for her role in South African feature film, Tess, where she played story of sex worker Tess, who falls pregnant, and has to fight to keep her past from swallowing her whole.

In this show, Visser takes on the role of Jane - a sulky and moody child. But she is strong-willed and always asks the difficult questions in the household at the same time causing havoc with her impulsive whims.

Visser works alongside Suburban Bliss actor, Anton Dekker as Andries, Stian Bam as Stephen, and Michelle Burgers as Trunette.

Shot in a Stellenbosch, the show tells a story of a number of people thrown together by their quest for money and riches through their entrepreneurial skills, from selling hamburgers or koeksisters at the food market, or knitting scarves for a fashion boutique, or running an IT business from home, or making million dollar deals on the open market, or simply playing a musical instrument.  

The series features wholesome families who measure their wealth in the love and care of one another.
