Chante Daniels represents South Africa in the ballet competition.
The sixth South African International Ballet Competition (SAIBC), celebrating its 10th anniversary as a biennial event, draws to an exciting close at Artscape this weekend with the finals and gala celebration. 

The SAIBC was founded by Dirk Badenhorst and first held in the Mother City in 2008. 

It is the only international ballet competition on the African continent.  The 87 entrants from 14 countries including SA, danced through a tough week of elimination rounds. 

Tonight,  21 dancers will place for gold, silver and bronze medals, cash prizes and special awards.
