The search continues to find South Africa’s next rising star in the second leg of the MTV Base VJ Search in Cape Town on Saturday, 28 July 2018 at the Castle of Good Hope.
Auditions will take place from 09:00 to 16:00 on the day, where MTV Base VJ hopefuls with a passion for global and African youth culture and music, should bring their most colourful selves and show the panel of judges if they have that star quality to be the next MTV Base VJ.
The judging panel for the 2018 MTV Base VJ Search consists of some of SA’s hottest and well-known talents such as award-winning actor and funny man Thomas Gumede (Ridiculousness Africa), stunningly beautiful presenter and actress Boity Thulo, music icon Kelly Khumalo and 2017 MTV Base VJ Search winner and Cosmopolitan’s Sexiest Man 2018 contestant Tshego Koke.
The winner of the 2018 MTV Base VJ Search will receive a 12-month contract with MTV Base and also stand a chance to host MTV Base show, interview stars, MC events, attend international awards shows, walk the red carpet and travel the continent as an ambassador for MTV Base, all while showing the rest of SA and the world how to ‘live life in colour’ in true Breezer style.
An official after-party to celebrate the Cape Town leg of auditions will take place on Sunday, 29 July at 50 on Gugs in Gugulethu featuring an artist line-up including OkMalumKoolKat, VJ Vybes, Aux Wodumdantso, Patty Monroe, VJ Jonno, DJ pH and Kyeezy to keep the party going all night long.
