Runners with a fondness for fun and a taste for the grape will set off for the all-new De Vine Run, presented by The House of JC Le Roux and the Devon Valley Vintners, on Saturday, March 27.

Some runners will take part in a convivial running/walking event of 16km through the vineyards and cellars of Devon Hill, Clos Malverne, Middelvlei, SylvanVale, Louisvale and Meinert wines and The House of JC Le Roux.

Whether it is a wig, a tutu or convict stripes, a butterfly disguise or a nun on the run, participants are encouraged to bring the spirit of fancy dress along to colour the winding tracks of Stellenbosch's best-kept secret with a kaleidoscope of boisterous and amusing outfits.

Participating farms will refresh runners with award-winning wines at various refreshment stations.

Devon Valley Primary School, which provides education to 245 pupils from the surrounding farms, has been chosen as the beneficiary of the De Vine Run. The run starts at 7.30am at Oude Libertas.

Entry forms are available at sports stores, running/walking clubs and wine outlets or at www.jcleroux.co.zaat R120 per person. For more information call Top Events at 021 511 7130.
