Memory of Water, KickstArt's award-winning production of the play by Shelagh Stephenson, is set to tour Johannesburg, Cape Town and Pietermaritzburg.
Produced, designed and co-directed by Greg King and Peter Court, this complex black comedy is a keenly observed tale of the secrets shared by two sisters, who bicker and bond during the run up to their mother's funeral.
The play was voted Play Of The Year in the UK and also won an Olivier Award for best new comedy in 2000. In December, Court and King's production won Best Play at the Durban Theatre Awards.
Pietermaritzburg's Hexagon Theatre will host four performances from February 4-7 at 7.30pm (matinee February 7 at 2.30pm). Book at 033 260 5537.
The play then moves to the Baxter Theatre (Cape Town) and to the Downstairs Theatre (Wits).
