Earth Day at Footprints
Celebrate Earth Day at Footprints, Corner Camp and St John's Road, Wynberg today and tomorrow from 10am to 4pm.
Meet at Footprints at 10.45am on Saturday to help clean up Maynardville and Wynberg Parks. Buy a tree grown by children, explore exhibits by various organisations.
Talented youth will provide music. Arts and crafts made from waste. Find out what your ecological footprint is and what eWaste is. Food Fair in Wynberg
Wynberg Girls' Junior School in Aliwal Road, is holding an international Fun and Food Fair today from 4pm to 9pm. The evening will be an opportunity for families to sample a variety of food, enjoy informal entertainment and pick up some wonderful bargains, and there will also be a flea market for crafters. Eleanor Murray fete
The Eleanor Murray Complex, a Christian residence for senior citizens at 9 Clyde Street, Woodstock (just behind the Town Hall), will be open to the public tomorrow from 10am until 2pm.
Cakes, preserves, needlework, plants, produce, books and bric-a-brac will be on sale and there will be musical entertainment, competitions and fun activities for the children. Secure parking will be provided.

Lindsay lecture at UCT
The Cape Town Branch of the South African Association of Women Graduates will host the annual Margaret Lindsay Memorial Lecture tomorrow at 2.30 for 3pm.
Bette Davidowitz, of the Department of Chemistry and Centre for Higher Education Development, University of Cape Town, will give a lecture on her work in bridging programmes designed to assist educationally disadvantaged students to attain the standards required in mainstream courses in the UCT faculty of science.

Donate old tools
Visitors to the Design for Living lifestyle and home expo taking place at the Good Hope Centre from 10am to 9pm from today until Friday April 28, are invited to help improve the lives of those less fortunate by bringing along their old hand tools and donating them to the Men at the Side of the Road Project (MSR), an independent non-profit organisation. Tickets are available at the gate.

Winemaker dinner
Manuka Cafe & Fine Wines at the Willowbridge Lifestyle Centre, Tyger Valley, will host Cape Point Vineyards and Morgenster Estate at their monthly Meet the Winemaker Dinner on Tuesday, April 25.
You will be taken through eight of the estate's most popular wines, with the winemaker discussing how he achieved certain characteristics and flavours.
