If you're stuck in a rut at work, one woman believes that looking to the stars is the ultimate way to seek guidance.

Astrologer Mecca Woods believes that your star sign dictates how successful you'll be at work in 2018 and she's shared her ultimate guide to analysing your stars.

While Aquarians are certain to be promoted this year, unfortunately for Aries, it could be a testing time in the workplace.

Mecca shared the ultimate guide to your horoscope and how it will affect your career.

CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 20):

Mecca believes that Capricorns need to focus on relationships they've been building in the workplace to seek new opportunities. She maintains that new jobs or promotions within the workplace will come from your network of contacts. Despite this star sign usually being highly independent, she believes you'll need help from friends to get ahead this year.

AQUARIUS (January 20-February 18):

According to Mecca, Aquarians are certain to be promoted this year. She notes that this star sign will really shine in the office this year, either via a step-up or by receiving awards.

PISCES (February 19-March 2):

It's good news for any Pisces who may have struggled with their finances this year. Mecca believes they'll be coming into a substantial amount of money. If you're looking for a change of career direction, Mecca advises looking into a job in advertising, writing or media.

ARIES (March 21-April 19):

Unfortunately for Aries, it could be a testing time in the workplace. To survive any redundancies, Mecca advises committing to any projects or commitments you began working on. 'This is a time for Aries to dig in, work hard and prove themselves,' she said.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20):

Taurus is the sign that tends to hold onto things that they don't need to. They could well be challenged at work and pushed into new challenges but they need to view this as time for a fresh start and a new challenge, even it means being forced into a new direction.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20):

This year is the time for Geminis to seek opportunities based on their emotions. Mecca says it's essential that they don't simply 'go through the motions' but instead seek a new job that fulfills them on a spiritual and emotional level. She also notes that they have a tendency to spread themselves too thinly so should remain focused if they want to reap the financial rewards.

CANCER (June 21-July 22):

This is a huge year for Cancer, reveals Mecca. Despite it being an unstable few years for this star sign, it's time to shake off old energy and embrace a new challenge. Mecca advises looking for a role that lets you explore your niche and leave any uncertainty behind.

LEO (July 23-August 22):

An eclipse is landing in Leo, which means it's time for a change. Leos will become a leader in their field of choice and could well leave a stable job behind to launch their own business.

VIRGO (August 23-September 22):

Mecca says that this is the year for Virgos to get in touch with their creative side. Whether it's music or writing, she says Virgos should really hone their talents and share it with the world.

LIBRA (September 23-October 22):

An upcoming eclipse means that Libras are in for a promotion or pay rise this year. If you've been working hard in the office, you'll finally get the recognition you've been seeking.

SCORPIO (October 23-November 21):

Mecca says that 2018 will be a huge year for any Scorpios looking to take a risk. She believes you'll get plenty of attention in the workplace but you'll need to learn to embrace change if you want to get ahead.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22-December 21):

Anyone with a Sagittarius star sign needs to be extra mindful of their finances, according to Mecca. It's also essential to curate a work schedule you can stick to and ensure you're being financially rewarded for your efforts.
