The Christmas Chronicles on Netflix is cheesy - and funny - but great.
Great mostly because my kids loved it.
Kids like the idea of Santa; a kind, magical, old grandpa-type with presents.
And considering that kids don't get to be kids for very long these days prolonging aspects of childhood magic is fairly harmless.
It's said that by 9 most kids 'just know' the answer to that question.
My 7-year-old had a skeptical look on his face while watching the movie. It's a pity because the real world has precious little on the imaginative one.
However, my 3-year-old, reluctant to get up for play school, suddenly sprang out of bed the other morning. His face lit up and he ran to the tree. (He doesn't really get the calendar yet.) None the less it was a pleasant reminder of the delight children feel at Christmas. And why would you want to mess with that?
