If you've already fallen in love with Prosecco then you must try Mionetto Prosecco
This globally renowned sparkling wine brand was launched locally by a Cape Town drinks company, Truman & Orange.
Speaking to
the founding owner of Truman & Orange, Rowan Leibbrandt, he says “Taking note of South Africans positive response to premium Italian imports, the worldwide boom in the sparkling wine category, and the growing demand for authentic, exceptionally high-quality products with a strong sense of providence, we carefully hand-selected Mionetto as it is the world’s best-selling Prosecco”.
Describing
its flavour, smell and taste, Leibbrandt said on the whole, Prosecco is lighter
and more delicate in flavour than champagne.
“The grapes
used to make Mionetto are subtly floral and fruity. Available in three
variants, Mionetto Prosecco DOC Treviso Brut is a beautifully aromatic wine
with notes of honey, black liquorices and acacia blossom, while the Prosecco
DOC Treviso Extra Dry is a smooth, crisp wine that replaces the liquorices
notes of the Brut with an unmistakable apricot fragrance and the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Extra Dry boasts
inimitable aromas and flavours of green apple, acacia blossom and full-flowering
wisteria”, he says.
Mionetto is
available in select outlets across the country and a bottle retails for about R 199.
