Spring has sprung! It’s time to ditch those hot beverages and shake things up a little bit.

If you don’t drink alcohol or simply looking to drink a little less of it, we have asked Beverage Experts at House of Angostura to share some of the most delicious, party friendly, spring mocktail recipes to help get the party started. 

Below are the springtime mocktails.

Rock Shandy

A Rock Shandy is the perfect serve for when the days start getting a little warmer. It is light and bubbly, and a South African favourite.

Glass: High ball or tall glass

Ingredients

- ½ can soda water

- ½ can lemonade

- 4 - 6 dashes Angostura aromatic bitters

- Garnish: fresh lemon or lime wedge 

Method

- Build ingredients over ice, dash with Angostura aromatic bitters, stir, garnish with lime wedge and serve.

- Lemon, Lime & Bitters is an Australian original thirst-quencher combining summery notes of citrus with a sparkling burst of bubbles.

Glass: Highball

Ingredients

- 6 - 8 dashes of Angostura aromatic bitters

- 30ml freshly squeezed lemon juice

- 22ml lime cordial

- 22ml sugar syrup

- Sprite

- Garnish: fresh lemon or lime wedge

Method

- Add Angostura aromatic bitters, then ice. 

- Add lemon juice, lime cordial and sugar syrup.  

- Top up with Sprite.  

- Garnish by squeezing the lemon/lime wedge into drink. 

- Serve.

The Angosoda is said to have been Julia Child’s favourite refresher – it’s light and invigorating.

Glass: Highball

Ingredients

- ±230ml sparkling water

- 4 dashes Angostura aromatic bitters

- Garnish: lime wedge

Method

- Fill glass with sparkling water, top with Angostura aromatic bitters and garnish by squeezing a lime wedge into the drink… en voila.

The perfect non-alcoholic family ‘drink’ for summer that can be made and poured en masse.

Glass: Highball

Ingredients

- ½ cup orange tangerine juice

- ½ cup sparkling apple juice

- ½ cup natural ginger ale

- 8 - 10 drops Angostura aromatic bitters

Method

- Combine ingredients in a small jug and stir.  Serve over ice or straight up.  Enjoy!

The Chomp is for those sit-back-and-sip-moments as your day becomes lighter and brighter.

Glass: Highball 

Ingredients

- 240ml ginger ale

- 2 teaspoons lemon juice

- 1teaspoon grenadine

- 4 dashes Angostura aromatic bitters

- Garnish: cherry and an orange wedge

Method

- Fill half your glass with ice cubes.  

- Add ginger ale, lemon juice and grenadine.  

- Finish off with 4 dashes of Angostura aromatic bitters, stir and garnish. Sip.
