If you planning on going up Table Mountain, you might as well do it in style and with a great bottle of wine.

The Durbanville Hills Table Mountain Wine Safari allows you to take in all the natural wonders on Table Mountain and sip on a pinotage or chenin blanc from the Durbanville Hills.

Henri Bruce is your guide and is the man behind the wheel of the safari vehicle which takes you to arguably the most exclusive and scenic wine tasting spot in the Mother City.

There are two routes, one offers a great view of the city and Signal Hill and the other sandwiches you between Table Bay and False Bay giving you a great two oceans experience.

The tour guide will happily stop along the way if a passenger wants to snap a picture of the view along the way.

Perched on a edge of the mountain Henri sets up a picnic table that includes, cold meats, cheese and the best Durbanville Hills wine on offer.

The chenin is a firm favourite on the safari with it’s fruity mix that lingers long after the last sip.

Henri recommended the Rhinofields Pinotage as well which delivered a rich velvety taste that didn’t overpower your taste buds.

This is a glam-picnic, you’re offered a camping chair and a wine glass holder that has a peg at the end of it to keep your glass right by your side without any chance it will be tipped over.

You’re welcome to make your own sandwich from the selection of breads or rolls on offer and of course you can stroll along the path on the mountain as you sip on your glass of wine.

If you want a wine tasting that is relaxed and informal with a great view of the city as a bonus then get a group of family or friends together and book your time on this wine safari.
