Beerhouse has been championing craft beer since 2013.

Randolf Jorberg, founder of Beerhouse says: “On National Beer Day itself we’re going all out by making our famous tasting trays - available at a 50% discount. Furthermore, many of the brewers will be at each of the Beerhouse locations, to mingle with fans old and new and serve completely free tasters of their outstanding products.

Newlands Brewery (3 Main Road, Newlands) is supporting #SANBeerDay by offering free brewery tours. Pre-booking is essential to avoid disappointments. Tours are subject to availability. Arrive at least 20 minutes early. And it starts at 10am. www.newlandsbrewery.co.za

Banana Jam Cafe in 157 Second Avenue, Harfield Village, Kenilworth has a full day of beer treats including the launch of the ACBC/Atlantic Storm Golden Stout on tap, a special food and beer pairing platter. Celebrate South African Beer Day with the annual Zebonkey "Beer Bottle Swap". All you have to do is bring in a beer - any beer be it commercial, craft or homebrew - and the Zebonkey team will swap it for any bottle from their range! Zebonkey is at the Corner R44 and Muldersvlei Road, Stellenbosch doors open at 11am.

The SAB World of Beer at 15 Helen Joseph Street in Newtown is offering a discounted beer tours to celebrate the occasion. It all starts at 10am and the last tour is at 5pm they run every hour on the hour and bookings are essential. Tickets are R115.

Purely Pretoria National Beer Day Beer Pong at Cowhouse Market (Cnr Ridge Rd & Oukraal Boulevard, Pretoria). Tickets are R60 and available from Quicket.

Bottomless Beer Day at Mad Giant (11 Fox Street, Jhb) .R200 gets you bottomless draught beer for the entire day.  The fun starts at 10:30pm.

Baraćas Wine & Beer Bar (56 Totius street, Pretoria) is serving beer basted ribs, beer bread burgers and of course a selection of druaghts.

Bottomless Beer at Capital Craft Menlo (Shop 20, Greenlyn Village Centre, Corner of 12th Street East & Thomas Edison, Menlo Park) today. R220 will buy you a tag, allowing you to drink all the beer your heart desires. And don't worry, if you are not keen on the bottomless beer, they’re still offering their regular menu.

Local members of the Durban Homebrewers return to donate home brewed beer to raise funds everyone’s four-legged friends as part of Tops Ales for Tails. There’ll be over 20 different brews at Wavepark, Gateway to taste and the brewers will be competing on the day for the best brew
