The Decorex Durban explo promises to be a foodie’s dream this year as it plays hosts to leading local chefs and eateries.

You can look forward to sampling some of KwaZulu-Natal’s most irresistible food

offerings at one of many gourmet stations and features.

For those

seeking culinary tips and examples of the best kitchen appliances on the

market, the Gourmet Cooking Theatre is the first stop for hungry visitors. 

Here

the East Coast’s top chefs will fuse the cultural influences of this vibrant

city into a range of tasty meals and flavour-filled drinks that can be

replicated at home.

One of the

participants at this year’s Gourmet Cooking Theatre is Durban North-based businesss We are Food, which delivers uniquely frozen meals.

“This is

our first time participating at Decorex Durban and we’re really excited, “ says Jane Bisset, the younger sister in the We are Food partnership and

head of all things food related.

“I try to

keep things as healthy as possible, so lots of veggies, salads and light

proteins," she adds.

Green, Executive Culinary Artist at Midlands-based Granny Mouse Country House

& Spa in Balgowan says they'll be featuring their signature home-style

cooking which follows the mantra ‘keep it simple and do it well’.

Also

featuring on this line-up is owner of three top regional restaurants, The Shed,

The Digs Kitchen and The Workstation Eatery, James Kriel.

There's no shortage of drinks on offer either. 

At The Secret Gin Bar,

professional mixologists will be on-hand to guide thirsty visitors through the

exciting world of craft gin, while The Tasting Room Wine Bar has an enviable

range of local and international vintages.

Durban is taking place at the Durban Exhibition Centre from 21 to 25 March

between 10am to 8pm.
